Providing RISI Card Training in Sydney and NSW

Train Me offers fully comprehensive training for contractors who require the mandatory Rail Industry Safety Induction (RISI) card in order to perform work on New South Wales’s train tracks and network.

Our RISI course, available in Sydney and applicable for all New South Wales railroad work, offers a comprehensive training service that will provide you with all the skills, knowledge, and qualifications necessary to work on New South Wales’s railroads.

The Courses We Offer Our Students

We offer students a range of courses required to be able to work on the New South Wales rail network. This includes:

Rail Worker Basic Skill Set – Eight Core Competencies – This two-day course consists of eight core units that have been outlined in the TLI10 Transport and Logistics Training Package that comes under the qualification Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure. It aims to teach individuals how to gain employment with a rail operator and for those who have gained employment but require this particular skill set to become employed.
Safely Access the Rail Corridor – Also known as RISI, this is nationally recognised and mandatory for an individual to have before they can access the rail corridor for work purposes. This course is important for providing information on the safety concerns with working on the rail network. Important hand signals, worksite protection management and basic rules are all taught for people wanting to work in the danger zone.
Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure (Structures) – This six-month course is offered to employees working in rail infrastructure. The purpose of this course is make all rail employees and contractors working in the rail sector to have the skills and knowledge necessary for keeping safe at work.
Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure (Track Maintenance) – This six-month course is a general qualification and is for people working in the rail infrastructure environment who perform tasks for a wide variety of contexts. This course includes the use of discretion and judgement in the selection of equipment, services or contingency measures working on rail infrastructure. You will also learn about managing others whilst working in the sector.

We also offer a range of courses in other fields, such as electrical spotter refreshers, conduct skid steer loader operator courses, and front end loader courses.
