Train Me specialises in providing a range of training and development opportunities for people throughout Sydney who want to advance their career pathways or upskill in their current field. Our dogman training course allows you to access professional development opportunities that are recognised and accredited by the relevant authorities, providing a comfortable learning environment for all those who choose to participate.
This particular course has been designed for participants who want to gain the required skills and knowledge needed to plan, prepare and complete dogging work as set out by the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work.
This dogging course aims to deliver the skills and knowledge to be able to determine the SWL of gear and relevant materials; choose, maintain and inspect steel, wire and fibre ropes and chains; demonstrate a variety of hitches and bends; sling, move and place loads; direct cranes and determine safe and effective ways of supporting different loads.
5 Days (4 days training and 1 day for WorkCover Assessment)
Individuals who would like to gain employment in the field of crane and rigging operations in industries such transport, construction, mining, offshore drilling and others that are similar.
Participants must be 18 years old
A basic knowledge and ability in mathematics for formulas and load chart calculations.
Basic command of English Language
Must have necessary health and fitness to carry out duties safely
The assessment is conducted using a combination of realistic workplace tasks including calculations of loads and determination of lifting equipment, knowledge tests and practical observations.

Wear steel cap boots, a hard hat, safety glasses, long pants and hi visibility shirt/vest. You will also need wet weather gear if required.
