Train Me is an organisation that provides a range of accredited training courses for people throughout Sydney. Our aim is to train participants to the highest standards, allowing them to feel completely confident and prepared to make their way into the workplace.
We offer intermediate and basic rigging courses for those who are looking for an engaging way to learn new skills and cement old ones.
This basic rigging course is designed to give participants the knowledge and skills required to safely and efficiently perform basic rigging. The course covers regulations, safety requirements, steel erection, crane loading platforms, winch operations, reeving, knots, splicing, sling selection, static lines and material and mast climber hoists.
5 Days (4 days of training and 1 day for the WorkCover Assessment)
Individuals who would like to gain employment with a rail or civil operator or those that have already gained employment and need this skill set to commence work.
Have sufficient knowledge of the English language
Have successfully completed a Dogging course and hold a current License for High Risk Work in the class of Dogging (DG).
Be over 18 years of age
Take precautions to prevent accidents when erecting structural steel
Work safely and confidently at heights using the correct harnesses
Describe and demonstrate the use of rope blocks and tackle
Identify and demonstrate the correct use of winches
Erect and dismantle a cantilevered crane loading platform
Erect a safety net and static line
Erect safety screws or shudders
Erect and dismantle materials hoist
Pre-cast concrete placement

Wear steel cap boots, a hard hat, safety glasses, long pants and hi visibility shirt/vest. You will also need wet weather gear if required.
