This refresher course is SafeWork NSW approved covers aspects of the Health & Safety Representative initial training
Under the OHS Act (section 67) all elected HSR’s and deputy HSR’s, after completing an initial course of training, have an entitlement (for each year they hold office) to attend refresher training.
Health & Safety Representatives and Deputy Health & Safety Representatives who have completed the initial 5 day training course.
Participants will refresh knowledge of:
The value of HSR’s to workplace safety
The importance of consultation
Hazards and risk management – how to determine levels of risk and controls
Issue resolution processes
A reminder of the legal framework and the OHS Act 2004
Clarifying what is reasonably practicable
Review of Provisional Improvement Notices
The role of Inspectors
Must have completed the initial 5 day training course.
You must provide ORIGINAL evidence that you have completed either the:
5 Day HSR training course
1 day Refresher course
The ORIGINAL certificate must be sighted by the trainer on the day of training, before training commences.
1 Day
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion for the SafeWork approved Health & Safety Representative Refresher Training Course.
